My precious little baby girl,
Three years have now all passed,
The pain i have though fades each day,
The pride and love will last,
I am a mum, you are my child,
My imagination it runs free,
I see the things as you grow up,
But not too much like me !,
I really hope you dont turn out,
Too stubborn like your mum,
Or drive your nanna and pappa mad,
By sooking on your thumb,
Or when aged 5 you finally,
Get to go to school,
Please study hard and get good grades,
Dont ever play the fool,
And as thirteen comes around,
A teenager at last,
The sarky voice, the huffy moods,
The joys, the tears the laughs,
The first boyfriend you dare bring home,
To meet the family,
Your uncles all just sitting there,
They did the same to me !,
Its time for you to leave our home,
To go get your degree,
I hope you study english baby,
Be a teacher like daddy and me,
A young lady all big brown eyes,
As smart as smart can be,
And happy too with all your life,
So kind, and funny and free,
Your wedding day it comes to me,
You're beautiful in your dress,
The man you chose, he loves you truly,
In your vows the love expressed,
I see you with your newborn son,
My joy to be a nanna,
His honey eyes, and olive skin,
Just like his dear old pappa,
And time will tell if all i hope,
Really did come true,
If god in his great wisdom,
Gave all i wished to you..

And felt your heart-sent love.

Now, from Heaven up above.
You’re wondering if I’ll celebrate
My birthday (way up here).
I know you’re missing me today
I feel your essence near.
God planned a special day for me,
He told me with a wink.
He’d ordered me a special cake
(It’s Angel food, I think).
Balloons will fill the streets for me,
They float up through the clouds.
And we have lots of friends up here
That make us laugh out loud.
There is a birthday carousel,
Jewelled horses ride the wind,
With music playing, oh so sweet…
The magic never ends.
I’ve made so many friends, you see
We laugh and play and sing.
We ride our bikes and play the fool
And sleep in Angel’s wings.
But we don’t blow out our candles here
Instead, they light the skies.
